- Be ethical and fair in all of your dealings.
- Unless excused by the Board of Directors, attend all coaching clinics sponsored by the Cabarrus Basketball Club. Also, attend at least four (4) team practices of approved high school or college coaches. Coaches are also expected to attend all Cabarrus Basketball Club coaches meetings.
- Emphasize basketball fundamentals and skill development. Each coach should work to develop each player to the best of that player's ability.
- Be respectful to others and mindful that you represent the Cabarrus Basketball Club, your community and your family.
- Dress appropriately when traveling, attending games, and Cabarrus Basketball Club functions.
- Develop a team schedule and budget prior to the start of the season and maintain appropriate bookkeeping practices. All financial dealings are subject to audit by the Board of Directors at any time.
- Monitor whether players and parents are meeting expectations and take appropriate steps if they do not.
- Be responsible for all team equipment and collect the same at the end of games/season.
- Emphasize the importance of academic success to each player.
- Be on time.
- Coaches should establish and supervise a team administrator ("Team Mom" or "Team Dad") that will assist in fundraising, accounting, creating a tournament documentation package, and with other administrative responsibilities.
- Organize a season ending event/dinner.
- Coaches must consent to a complete criminal background check.
