Parent Expectations

1. Parents must use their best efforts to help their child comply with the Player Expectations listed above.
2. Never criticize coaches' or players' decisions in front of your child or his/her teammates.
3. Teach sportsmanship to your child and conduct yourself accordingly.
4. Remember that you also represent the Cabarrus Basketball Club at games and team functions.
5. The estimated cost of a single player's participation will be determined before the beginning of each reason. These funds can be paid by the player or partially earned by team fundraising activities. It is the policy of the Cabarrus Basketball Club that no child shall be excluded from participating due to an inability to pay. The Cabarrus Basketball Club will provide a vehicle for a player to earn funds if he or she cannot afford to participate. This estimated cost includes entry into 4 tournaments, AAU annual membership, uniform usage, gym rentals and other miscellaneous expenses. This estimate does not include traveling expenses and National Tournament fees, if your child's team qualifies. This is just an estimate and may have to be adjusted at a later date.
6. Understand that failure to meet Player Expectations or Parent Expectations could result in your child's loss of playing time, suspension or termination and forfeiture of any funds provided to the Cabarrus Basketball Club.
7. Timely complete all team forms and waivers.
8. Attend as many games as possible.
9. Respect and accept all coaching decisions - playing time, discipline, etc.
10. Understand that practice sessions and game days are not appropriate times to address issues with your child's coach. You may schedule a conference at another mutually agreeable time.
